EBEC no longer exists, but we still organize engineering competitions with Engineering Challenge. You can still see what ebec used to look like.
European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) is the biggest engineering competition in Europe. It has been created by students for students and it’s a hundred percent free, EBECs are divided in two challenges:
The Case Study where teams are asked to think of different hypothetical solutions to real-life problems in a limited time
Innovative Design where participants are asked to use their creativity and knowledge to functionally build or imagine the whole specification of a prototype
EBEC has Two rounds :
Local Round (LR) that takes places in Louvain-la-Neuve or other city’s.
Both of the best teams from LR are selected for the National and the Regional Round (NRR) that take place in a university of the BeNeLux.
During all of these events, numerous prizes are offered to the winners of the different events. Food and drink are also provided to all teams throughout the competition.
